Food & Wine Gifts for Anniversaries

The strongest anniversary gifts repeat. The food half of this guide can be sent today; the wine half is advice — and says exactly why.

For readers 21 and over. This page discusses wine as editorial guidance only. Wine ships only where the merchant itself states it can, and an adult aged 21 or over must sign on delivery. This page carries no wine product links and no wine purchase buttons — wine recommendations on this site earn nothing and are not linked for sale.

The plain answer

An anniversary gift should mark time, not just spend money. That is why the strongest gifts on this page repeat: a cheese box that arrives with each season, a board that becomes the couple’s Friday ritual for a season of months. A single lavish object says ‘today’. A well-chosen recurring gift says ‘all year, I was thinking of you’ — which is the actual content of an anniversary.

Wine belongs in an anniversary, and this guide talks about it plainly below. But a recommendation page that sells wine has legal edges a food page does not, and on this site wine stays editorial — discussed honestly, linked nowhere — until merchant approval, that merchant’s promotion terms, its current shipping map and proper 21-and-over framing are all in place at once. The food gifts carry cards and buttons. The wine carries advice.

Seasonal Cheese Club Subscription by Cowgirl Creamery

Sold by Goldbelly (seller: Cowgirl Creamery)

$124.95 per quarter

Price as shown on the Goldbelly product page in the check window. This is a renewing quarterly subscription — it renews each period until cancelled with the seller as the page describes. Price checked .

  • A quarterly cheese subscription from Cowgirl Creamery, fulfilled through Goldbelly — Cowgirl's own site directs nationwide buyers to Goldbelly for this club.
  • Each seasonal box includes three cheeses, artisanal crackers and two accompaniments, per the product page.
  • Two of the cheeses are Cowgirl Creamery's own; the third spotlights another West Coast producer, per the product page.

Why I’d send this: Quarterly is a civilised rhythm for cheese — a box a season, each one different, nothing piling up in the fridge. For a couple, this is the anniversary gift I would send first.

Limitations: It renews quarterly until cancelled — a gift that keeps billing is only a gift if you intend that; read the cancellation terms on the product page. Order cut-offs run about two weeks before each season's shipment. Contents are seasonal and seller-chosen.

Florida: Ships to Florida via Goldbelly (food). Marketplace rule: individual sellers can carry product-specific shipping exceptions — this product showed free shipping and no Florida bar in the check window.

Cheese Board Club

Sold by Murray's Cheese

Not read from a merchant page on , so no figure is shown. Plans are 3, 6 or 12 months; the merchant shows the current price at purchase. Price checked .

  • A monthly Murray's Cheese club designed to arrive as a board, not just as cheese.
  • Boxes include cheeses together with charcuterie and accompaniments.
  • Sold in 3-, 6- and 12-month plan lengths.

Why I’d send this: Of the cheese clubs here, this is the one I would send to someone who hosts. It arrives closest to ready-to-serve, which is the difference between a gift and a project.

Limitations: It is a board kit, not a finished board — the recipient still arranges it. Contents are merchant-selected and perishable. Verify price, shipping and timing with the merchant before ordering.

Florida: Ships to Florida (food; nationwide online sales per the merchant).

Grande Charcuterie Collection

Sold by D'Artagnan

$167.99

Price and 'In Stock' availability as shown on the merchant's own product page in the check window. Price checked .

  • The larger of D'Artagnan's charcuterie gift collections on its own store.
  • Contents are listed in full on the merchant's product page and include both crackers and almonds alongside the meats.
  • Packed in a gift box with a serving-tips brochure, per the merchant.

Why I’d send this: Send the Grande when the board is the event — a housewarming, a holiday open house, a couple who entertain. It covers more eaters and more palates than the Classic.

Limitations: Same short best-taste window as all fresh charcuterie — time the delivery. Substitutions of similar value are possible per the merchant. Confirm price and shipping at purchase.

Florida: Ships to Florida (food).

The wine half — editorial only, for readers 21 and over

If you are sending wine to a couple, think in pairs the way a sommelier thinks in courses. One bottle for the anniversary dinner itself — the cuisine decides: oysters and anything sparkling and dry; a rich braise and a red with tannin enough to stand up to it — and one bottle deliberately not for that night, labelled in your note for a future ordinary evening, because a gift that improves a random Tuesday in March outlasts one that disappears into a celebration. Retailers’ wine gift sets and club memberships given for a fixed season both fit this shape; judge any of them by their contents list and their shipping rules, never by the ribbon.

The shipping rules are not fine print — they are the gift’s feasibility. Wine requires an adult 21 or over to sign. It cannot ship to every state: each merchant publishes a different exclusion list, two Florida counties are dry for direct wine shipment, and some merchants refuse certain Florida ZIP codes only at checkout. A couple travelling for their anniversary week will miss a signature-required parcel entirely. Check the destination against the merchant’s own shipping page, warn the couple it is coming, and if the picture is unclear, send the cheese and write the bottle into the card as a promise for your next visit. That is not a lesser gift; it is a kept one.

What none of these gifts do

They do not say the words. A recurring food gift is a frame; your note is the picture. Write the note as if it were the whole gift — the year, the meal you remember, the one you are promising next — and let the box simply prove you meant it.

Best for…

For a couple who cook together

Cheese & Charcuterie Reserve Subscription

Sold by iGourmet

From $110.00/month

As shown on the merchant's subscription page on . Price checked .

  • A monthly iGourmet subscription combining artisan cured meats, selected cheeses and gourmet accompaniments, per the merchant.
  • One of five subscription themes on the merchant's subscription page.

Why I’d send this: If the recipient's idea of a perfect evening is a board and a long conversation, this is the subscription built for them — meat and cheese together, which is how a board actually gets eaten.

Limitations: Cured-meat contents vary by month and are merchant-selected. Perishable shipping applies. Confirm price, contents policy and timing on the merchant's page before ordering.

Florida: Ships to Florida (food).
